You are in a world full of zombies, and your only chance to escape will come in after 13 days. Will you be able to survive or will you give in to the zombies’ hunger for your fresh brain? 13 Days in Hell puts you into the shoes of a man trapped in the zombie apocalypse with no choice but to try and survive until rescue arrives. Hopefully, the zombies don’t get to your rescuers first.
13 Days in Hell is a first person shooter that drops you into a zombie apocalypse setting with nothing but your gun and your shooting skills to protect you. Each day will introduce new and more challenging zombies to go through, but each new day is a new chance, right? In some days, you will also get new weapons that will help you out in surviving this horrible ordeal. In terms of visuals, this game is moderately good. The zombies are pretty bland and ugly, but the look and feel of the game is alright. The sound does its job of building the tensioned filled atmosphere with its creepy music. The gameplay is pretty simple as well as the controls. You aim using the mouse cursor and you shoot using the left mouse button. There is a little addition to the shooting mechanic though, making it a bit more complicated but all the more challenging. The cursor will have a little circle in the middle of the reticle with a red dot circling around it. This red dot is where your bullet will land, so timing your shots to the spinning red dot is key to getting those juicy headshots. The goal is to survive 13 days. Any death in the middle of your struggle to survive will send you back to day one, so do your best and make sure that you are always prepared.
There’s been a lot of zombie apocalypse games coming out in the past few years, but not all of them were good enough to become triple A titles. 13 Days in Hell is an OK game that could’ve been better with a bit more polish in graphics and gameplay, but that doesn’t mean that it’s not a great game. 13 Days in Hell is a good game that deserves anyone with a craving for a zombie apocalypse game’s attention.
Squeek is a pretty unique game in its own right. It is simple, it is fun, each game is short, yet each game can be a totally different experience. Squeek’s simplistic design and gameplay is its biggest charm, and is really the only thing that will keep you coming back. Squeek is a great game for time killing, like some of the great mobile games.
Squeek is a point and click game where your main goal is to move around the screen and get the highest score possible without dying. You start the game by clicking on the screen. When the game starts, you will see a small gray dot; that is your character. Clicking anywhere on the screen will make your character move, and every time you move, you gain points depending on the distance moved. Easy, right? Well, here comes the tricky part. There will also be red dots moving from one side of the screen to the other. A single touch from these red dots will instantly kill you, thus preventing you from gaining a higher score. As you go on, there will be dots that move faster than normal, some will even just speed through the screen. Make sure to be extra careful, but not too careful as some of the red dots may also go through you if you’re not moving. That’s pretty much it. Get a higher score and gain the bragging rights.
Squeek is a very simple game. It’s not a very long game, and some may even say that there might not be any sense to it. The question is, though, does a game really have to make sense for it to be fun? Does it have to be long to be enjoyed? The answer to both of those questions can be answered by no, and Squeek goes out of its way to show you it’s true.
Online strategy games have been all the rage recently. Everyone is playing one form or another of an online building strategy game that forces you to play with (or mostly against) other people. Legends of Honor is no different, but at the same time, so different that it’s good.
Legends of Honor is a strategy game that is played online, meaning there’s a lot of other people playing in the different kingdoms in the world. If this is your first time playing this type of game, then Legends of Honor is actually a good game to start with. Starting a new game requires a login, and creating one is as easy 1, 2, 3. Once you start the game, you’ll be greeted by a sign up screen asking for a desired username, password, and a valid email address. Once you’re done inputting the information, you’ll be sent to the game. The game starts out with a nice and easy little tutorial that will help you out with the game. Most of the game is like the basic strategy RPG games. Build buildings that will help you get more resources. Get more resources to be able to make more units. Make more units to be able to attack other kingdoms and get more resources. Get more resources to be able to make more buildings. Do all these to become stronger, and then attack even stronger kingdoms. The main goal of the game, as with all other strategy RPGs, is to become the strongest kingdom of them all.
Legends of Honor takes the strategy genre to the medieval times, which makes it a very interesting game. There’s a lot of great mechanics that can be even better with a little polish, but even then it’s still good enough to be played for a good long while. If you’ve been looking for a good strategy online RPG, Legends of Honor is a great place to start.
It has been so long since a futuristic racing game has gotten me excited, and thanks to Flipside, that drought has finally gone to pass. Flipside, as mentioned, is a racing game that is clearly set in the future (though it’s never really mentioned, but hey, you can tell by how it looks anyway) and brings a speedy and crazy racing experience right from your computer monitor.
Flipside’s charm is all about the beautiful tron-like futuristic cars and the challenging racing mechanics. This game can also be played with 2 players, so you can get a friend in on the fun and fight for a bit of bragging rights. The controls are the left and right (for the first player) or A and D (for the second player) arrow keys to drive your vehicle, and pressing the up (for the first player) or W (for the second player) arrow key to jump. There’s only a single course to race on, but that doesn’t mean that the game will be the same each race because your opponent’s movements are also a huge factor in winning. Any bump from any obstacles (including walls) and enemies will immediately kill all your momentum and bring you to a sudden stop, so do your best to avoid bumping into anything. The races are all about momentum and knowing which direction you need to drive on. Once the direction changes, you can quickly switch the button you’re pressing to keep your momentum. The first one to finish 3 laps wins the whole race.
It’s really hard to find good racing games that can pull of the futuristic feel online. It’s been years since a something of this genre has ever come close to the F-Zero games of past, but if you’re a fan of games that are the same as F-Zero, then Flipside would be a nice little game you can have fun with.
Wild, Wild West games will never get old. If the game involves beating down hardened criminals as a sheriff, then it’s even better! Saloon Brawl 2 takes you back to those times, when everything was settled with a good old brawl outside a bar.
Saloon Brawl 2 is a brawler game that puts you in the shoes of a sheriff assigned to keep the peace around the Wild West. How do you keep the peace in a place filled with drunk people and criminals? With your fists, of course! Each level is filled with fighting people, and it’s your job to beat some sense into these people. You can move your character with the arrow keys, pressing the Z button on your keyboard will make the sheriff guard attacks, X will make him punch anyone in front of him (pressing it multiple times will result in a combo), and pressing C will pick up whatever or whoever is in front of him (pressing X while holding something will hit anyone in front of him with whatever you’re carrying, and pressing C again will throw it in front of you). There is a bar at the bottom right part of the screen that fills up every time you do damage, and once it fills up, you can press the Space Bar to do a special move that deals a lot of damage to an area around the sheriff. There’s also a health bar that can be seen on the bottom right hand corner of the screen which indicates your Hit points. If this bar becomes completely depleted, it’s game over, so take care and remember to block once in a while.
If you’re into action games, the Saloon Brawl 2 is a pretty good choice. If you’re also in to Wild West scenario games, than this game is a great choice. If you’re also in to beating up people for the sake of justice, then there would be no reason for you not to play Saloon Brawl 2!
Play as a Knight of ye olde times and bust out all your moves to destroy all the monsters along your path to save your castle in Mighty Knight. Take your sword and get some allies on the way. Slaying the undead and other monsters has never been this fun, so make sure to dive in to the world of Mighty Knight.
Mighty Knight puts you into the boots (or grieves) of a knight that journeys to the Doom Castle to save their kingdom from the hordes of undeads, orcs, and zombies. There will be a lot of danger ahead, but luckily, you will meet worthy allies as you go through the forests and mountains. This game is filled with hack-and-slash action that is very hard to put down. The simple controls keeps the game flowing smoothly while the intelligent AI keeps the game interesting, along with the side quests for each stage. The first stage is a tutorial on how to control your knight in battle. Pressing the arrow keys or W, A, S, D will move your knight in accordance to the direction pressed and pressing J or Z will make your knight attack. The K and L keys will use your skills once you get them, and pressing P will pause the game. The battles are fought in a multi-directional plane, and your enemies can come on to you from different sides, so try your best to either kill them quickly or dodge them and kill them all in a few swoops. After the tutorial, you will be sent to the world map where you choose the stage you want to play (usually it would be good to keep progressing before playing the side quests) and having the option to upgrade your knight and allies. The goal of the game is pretty straightforward, kill everything, move on to the next level, then kill everything again.
There’s a lot of hack and slash games out there that are nice, but Mighty Knight really deserves a place in anyone’s hack-and-slash must play lists as this game can really keep you hooked for hours. The simple gameplay yet hard combat AI are good factors on keeping this game interesting and upping it’s playing value. If you’re in the market for a good hack-and-slash combat game, Mighty Knight might just be what you’re looking for.
Aliens have landed on earth, and they’re not the very friendly kind. They are destroying everyone in sight and killing everyone that opposes them, everyone else gets enslaved to become their own soldiers to kill even more humans. On the process of being brainwashed to be enslaved, one person escapes and will try to take back what is rightfully theirs, their planet and their lives!
Earth Taken 3 is an alien apocalypse game filled with action and mystery, and a lot of alien blood. Everything has been taken over and it’s your job to take everything back. You will team up with other survivors that will notice that you are pretty good with weapons, and might be one of humanity’s hopes. The game is pretty simple, especially because in every new step you take, the game will tell you what to do and how to do it, but then leaves you out in the open to try it out for yourself. In any case, the game is very easy to control. Using the arrow keys, you can move your character around in the barren world, and pressing the X button makes you jump while pressing the Z button uses your weapon to attack. That’s pretty much it. You follow the signs to get to the first shelter, and that shelter will need help with a few things including food, rescue missions, and a few other things. Everyone will need your help in order to save the world, so prepare and fill yourself with courage.
Earth Taken 3 is a wonderfully written game and is really one of the best alien apocalypse games I’ve played in a while. The simple controls along with the great storyline of the game will keep you playing for hours on end. If you’re looking for a nice little adventure game filled with aliens, mystery, and a great soundtrack, then you better not miss out on this one!
